My social media:
My name is Sinéad O'Catateach(aka Firestorm Cosplay) I am majoring in the Fine Arts with Acting being my area of interest and currently going for my Associates in the Arts and hopefully to one day pursue my Bachelors. The arts have always been a part of my life, I can't remember a time where it wasn't but I especially enjoy writing and acting specifically.
One of the things I do to help with my acting is Cosplaying. It allows for improvisational practice, practice of staying in character, person to person experience, helps boost confidence, helps with overall acting experience, and helps me get my name out there. I also just love the reactions I get from people especially from little kids because to them those feelings and emotions are so raw and just being able to step into the shoes of a character is so much fun.
I haven't had a lot of "stage" experience but I have had a lot of training and experience outside of the stage. l started with Introduction to Theatre and then from there I took Acting 1 and Acting 2, Directing 1, Voice for the Stage, Makeup Design and part of one of the projects we had to do was to also help build part of a set for a play that the college was having that year. I do hope to take Costume Design, Film/Script Writing, and Stage Combat in the future.
While my stage experience is limited to in class scene work and theatre workshops. I was casted in a production of 'It's a Wonderful Life', I was also casted as a scare character for Six Flags Great America's annual Fright Fest, scenes work of 'The Glass Menagerie', and just this year got casted for the Bristol Renaissance season of 2020. I have had some prior acting experience in grade school when my school put on a performance of 'Nightmare Before Christmas'.
